Cancellation & Closure Policies

GENERAL GYM RULES

  • Athletes should come to class dressed in appropriate gymnastics attire. Please see “What to Wear” section, below.

  • It is the coach’s job to lead the class. If you feel like your child requires your assistance, you are welcome to assist them during class in the gym. Please do not call out to them from the viewing area, as it can be distracting for the other athletes.

  • We do not allow photos or videos to be taken from the viewing area (except during medal presentations). If you want to take a photo of your child, you may arrange to take them into the gym for a picture after class.

  • To avoid introducing allergens to our athletes, we ask that no food or beverages be consumed in our facility. This includes gum.

  • We ask all visitors to our facility to remove their footwear to walk on the non-carpeted areas. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of the athletes who walk these areas in their bare feet.

  • No running in the halls or viewing areas.

WHAT TO WEAR
Athletes must wear athletic wear like fitted t-shirts, shorts, leggings or leotards.

  • Hair tied up and no dangling jewelry.

  • No bows or other large hair ornaments that may cause discomfort during activity.

  • No skirts, jeans, ballgowns, zippers, buckles, buttons or drawstrings.

  • Bare feet in the gym, unless the athlete has issues with their feet, in which case they may wear socks that have sticky grips from the tip of the toe to the heel.

  • Personal items should be left in cubby holes. Jewelry should not be worn during classes. PLEASE LEAVE JEWELRY ARTICLES AT HOME. The facility's staff will not be responsible for ANY items that may be lost or stolen. Having personal items marked with their name will help when items are left behind.

ARRIVAL AND PICKUP
The flashing light will be turned on 5 before class time, indicating it is time to enter the building. Students will be escorted to the door by their coach if they have not been collected inside by a parent or guardian. If you are not staying you view your child’s class, please pick them up outside the entrance door. Please inform us if you know you will be late picking up your student. Late fees may apply (please see “Late Pick Up Policy”). During peak times the parking lot is crowded. Please take into consideration that our students include young children. Please drive slowly and carefully. Do not take a chance on your student running to and from your car.  Do not park in the NO PARKING stalls or handicap stalls without a permit. The back of the building has multiple spots available.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
PARENTS MUST NOTIFY THE OFFICE TO DROP A STUDENT FROM CLASS. All athletes are registered to the end of June, unless proper cancellation notice is received. Notice must be submitted by email, through our customer portal by the 15th day of the last month attending. If cancellation notice is not received in writing by Lion’s Pride Gymnastics by the 15th day, fees will be invoiced, no refund will be issued.

Please note: You are responsible for payment for your student's classes WHETHER OR NOT YOUR STUDENT ATTENDS CLASS until the time you notify the office VIA WRITTEN NOTICE. Please do not rely on your student to verbally let us know that he/she will no longer be attending classes. Verbal notice given to any staff member will not be accepted.

Cancellations Due to Injury:

If your child is injured, and is unable to participate in gymnastics, we will accept immediate cancellation with a doctor's note. Their spot in class will not be held, and you may re-enroll them once they are able to return.

If you wish to hold their spot in class, you may keep them enrolled and report them absent until they are able to return to class and we will provide you with make up tokens upon their return.

TRIAL CLASSES

Trial classes are offered on a no-commitment basis. If you do not continue with the class after the trial, there is no charge for that class. If you do enroll your child in the class, the class is included in the first month’s fees. Trial classes should be booked at the time you want your child to attend regularly, as class experience can vary depending on the coach and the other children enrolled in the class. After the class, you will be required to confirm within 48 hours if you wish to enroll your child in the class. Payment for the current month’s fees will be due at that time.

SESSION CLASSES

When enrolling for a class that runs in a session (a class that runs for a limited time frame), you will be required to pay for the full amount of the session in advance. If, after the FIRST CLASS, you wish to cancel, you may do so and receive a full refund. After the second class, we will not offer any cancellations or refunds. At the end of the session, your child will automatically be removed from the class.

PAYMENT POLICY

The first month’s fees are due at the time of enrollment. Except for prepaid session classes, payment will be due on the first of each month until the end of your child’s enrollment. Fees are pro-rated for the number of classes that occur in the month, which can fluctuate due to the way the day they attend falls within the month, or holiday closures. A statement will be sent on the 15th of each month for the upcoming month’s fees.

LATE OR MISSED PAYMENTS

We recognize that this can happen to anyone for a variety of reasons, and are willing to be compassionate and accommodating, if you communicate with us. If you know that you will not be able to make your payment on 1st of the month, please contact us in advance to make alternative payment arrangements. This will ensure that you do not receive NSF penalties from your financial institution. If we are unable to process your payment on the 1st of the month, you will receive an email, asking you to contact us to make payment arrangements, or provide updated contact information. Payment will automatically be reattempted on the 6th and 10th day of the month. Lion’s Pride Gymnastics is not liable for any NSF charges incurred with your financial institution if these payments cannot be processed. If we are unable to process your payment at this time, your child will be removed from their class, and the fees for the current month will still be considered payable if you wish to re-enroll them at a later date.

SICKNESS AND INJURY POLICY
Please DO NOT ATTEND if your child is sick or injured. If they feel sick during class, we will call for immediate pick up. If you report that your child will be absent in advance, you will receive a token, which can be used to make up the missed class. This token will be issued at the time the coach marks them absent from their class. If a coach notices that a child has been injured during class and must sit out at any point to recover, a parent will be notified of the injury at pickup. If the injury is severe, a parent may be contacted to pick their child up early to take them for medical attention.

MAKE UP POLICY
Because of our strict student to teacher ratio, missed classes will not result in prorated tuition or refunds. As a courtesy, if expected absences are reported through the customer portal more than 3 hours prior to the class time, a makeup token will be issued to enroll for a make up class on a different day of the week, where class numbers permit. Instructions for how to report an absence and how to book a make up class are available on our website at lionspridegymnastics.com.

There is a maximum of one token per day of the week that each child is enrolled. Availability of makeup classes cannot be guaranteed. Tokens expire 1 month from the date they are issued and must be used while your child is actively enrolled in a class. Make up tokens have no cash value, and may not be exchanged for credit, or used to extend an enrollment.

Class Cancellations Due to Mother Nature

If a class is cancelled due to Mother Nature (storm, power outage, bad weather, natural disaster, etc.), Lion’s Pride will not issue a refund or credit for the missed class. A token with no expiration date will be provided for you to book your child to make up the class.

Class Cancellations Due to Coach Unwell/Away

If a coach is unwell/away and a substitute coach is unavailable, we will cancel the class and provide a token to make up the class.

Athletes not following the rules, being unsafe, disrespecting others

We always hope this isn't our child! However, it can happen. If your child is misbehaving we will send an email to notify you. If it continues, you may be required to assist your child  during class, to ensure their safety and success.

ANNIVERSARY FEE
All Students will be charged an anniversary fee. This is a membership and a GBC insurance fee of $56 for recreational athletes and $150 for competitive athletes.  This fee is renewable each year, which runs September - August.
